Projects & Profiles > Import a Project

IMPORTING a Project (from a colleague for example) :

1. Select any existing Project in the list

2. Click on Import - Export button

3. Click on Import

4. Select the FOLDER containing to Project to be imported

5. Click on Import : DMC will analyse all the files in the Folder (if a structure change is detected then those will be updated so as to match the current one and you will see the DMC Updater screen - when all structures are good and flagged in GREEN click on the close button) - This features allows you to import OLD structured projects in DMC at any time
If this external executable cannot repair all tables (like some XP machines seem to have problems sometimes) then another internal method will be used to update the faulty files.

6. DMC will present you with a new screen of all the profiles found in this folder and you will be able to CHECK all is good : ie sql connections and paths :

a- If some are flagged in RED then you need to CORRECT those entries (EIP mode) - they will appear in GREEN if your corrections are valid ones.

b- When all are flagged in GREEN you can use the Import Profiles button to import them in your DMC (or use the Cancel button NOT to do so)

7. DMC will then revert to the main project screen with your newly Imported Profiles under the 'All default Projects' (ID # 0) for you to dispatch them in New Projects
