ALL INSTALLATION - UPDATING FEATURES ARE ONLY ACCESSIBLE TO ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNTS UNDER Windows® operating systems

 

 

• XP, Windows Vista®, Windows 2003, Windows 2008 & R2, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 2012 Installations:

DMC defaults to installing the program in the NON UAC compliant path of c:\CGF\Data Management only because it has been observed that the UAC paths can create speed issues when writing data to the hard drive. But of course the fully UAC compatible paths Program Files (or Program Files (x86) for 64-bit OS) and the data in "COMMON_DOCUMENTS" directory of the User is also offered.  You can change either of these two settings to whatever you prefer.

•The installer can also used as an updater.

•The installer/updater will recognizes your default language and sets it accordingly.  The default is English.

•The installer/updater are XP, Windows Vista®, Windows 2008, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 2012 compatible.

•In both installer and updater we have added the verification of 4 main settings: Company Name, Serial Number, Installation Path and Maintenance Plan; these values are read from various sources on your computer.  If more than one of these fails, then the installer/updater will inform you of this situation with a special information screen and offer to install/update to a new Evaluation version.  Do NOT try to change these values in the installer/updater as they will NOT be used!!

 

 

 

•If the installer detects a previous version, then it will proceed with the update.
