Did you ever wonder how your Clarion application would work in SQL?

Let's find out!

The latest version of DMC can quickly and easily convert your application from TPS tables to any one of a wide variety of SQL structures.

DMC can convert your application in minutes – not days. Before spending a pile on other solutions or software, let us convert your application for you. See what you can do with a little help from DMC.

Did you know there are over 1,300 SQL reserved words – how many are you using as column names in your tables? How fast will your Browses and Reports load? Don't spend weeks trying this alone. We can help!

You may have seen or attended ClarionLive webinar #77 where we converted the “Invoice” example application to SQL in minutes with no hand-coding.

While the final product may need some polishing, you will have a new .APP and .DCT that runs on the SQL flavor of your choice within minutes/hours – not days (for a single APP).

Then you can decide if SQL makes sense for you and your customers.

To be fair, optimizing your application for the SQL environment will take some additional time and effort. You might need to tweak DMC settings and options to achieve it in a second or third process. DMC probably won't create a “Gold” release of your application. Some things work differently (or not at all) in SQL. What you will have is a functioning application to demonstrate to your clients that will only improve with age and a few tweaks in code.

We did another ClarionLive webinar with one of our clients (Alexis Sigala from Mexico) who showed us a few of his tricks to get his multidll application (clarion6 legacy code) fully operational SQL after using DMC to Port it.

How to get started

You do not have to buy DMC before you see what it can do for you.

You can test it by yourself on one of SoftVelocity's demo application (invoice).

The Evaluation version can Port to SQL that application and dictionary.

Learning more

Download this archive and unzip it anywhere on your computer.

Start a Port to SQL task in DMC selecting the "dmc_invoice_demo.dctx"!

Select as "destination folder" the path where you unzipped it and follow these steps.

Watch our tutorial video showing "this" Port to SQL in Evaluation mode.

"DMC SQL Discovery Pack"

For 199 Euros, we will take your Single EXE/DLL (chose one APP in your solution) application in Clarion 6 or Clarion 7 or Clarion 8 and convert it using DMC (with all our predefined settings) on your computer. We will help you install Microsoft SQL 2005 or 2008 if necessary, or we can use our SQL server for testing the data. When we're done you'll have a compiled application (or APP if multi-dll) with your data converted to SQL (if your tables are huge this may take some additional time) that performs nearly all your functions. Why the hedge? Simple. Some code that works just fine with TPS files will not work with SQL. DMC will fix as much as it can (and we will help also), but you may have a little work to do when we're done with the conversion. Even after it all works, you may want to further polish your application for better performance and lower bandwidth.

Here's our Guarantee

If we can't make your application connect to SQL (local and/or distant), with at least part of your data converted (all if you don't swamp us with massive tables) and you have more than 100 errors when we're done – we'll give you your money back.

This is a complete Wizarded Step by Step Process which will allow you to Port your Clarion 5.5 - 6 - 7 - 8 ABC and Legacy application(s) to SQL
