DMC is an incredibly flexible tool and works for many different types of users.  To serve such a diverse group, it's critical to offer a variety of ways to customize the environment to suit personal preferences.  Click on the menu below to explore the available options.

This is where you can define your personal extensions used for TPS, DAT or DBF files and tell DMC how to treat them.   DMC knows how to view and manipulate TPS files, but you would like to change the extensions for your tables from TPS to CGF (example).  You can make that change in your Dictionary, Application and code, but you also need to tell DMC that any .CGF files should be treated as .TPS files within DMC.  After you add that extension you will be able to double click on the table with the .CGF extension and DMC will open it to view treating it as a TPS table.
This is where you can access a comprehensive list of reserved words from the main SQL standards.  Even if these words are not reserved in your current data structure, you should avoid using these words in your applications and tables. You can also change the "level" applied to any word and make it "compulsory".
This is where you can (for custom column mapping) create replacement groups for DMC to lookup a string and if found replace it with another string.  This can be done individually within the column mapping, or you can add several search/replace pairs into Replacement Groups.
This is where you can access and define 3 Exclusion lists that are used if you select Capitalize Adv. as a Function in data mapping.
