Step 1 : Link Columns
Use the Radios to select the type of linking method to use then click on the Button # 1 OR use a simple Drag & Drop from Source Column to Destination

Step 2 : Open Column Mapping Screen (the Button is only a LINK to this page)
If you wish to define a column Mapping you Double-Click on the column to work on in the Destination Panel (you can do it here also to continue the Tutor)

Step 3 : Chek your mappings
If you wish to see what your data will be AFTER applying the mapping options click on Button # 3 and you will have access to a new Tab where you will be able to scan on the first 50 records with all MAPPINGS applied (you can do it here to open a popup window with a screenshot)

Step 4 (optional) :Save as Profile
You can save all these settings (source and destination) in a Profile to use again at a later time (use Button # 4)
(this allows you for example to test different mappings combinations)

Options you can define before Transferring
|
|
Number of Records or Record Ranges
You can define the Number of Records to Transfer or the FIRST and LAST record to transfer
(this allows you for example to transfer only from record #125 to record #255)

Source SORTING order
You can define the Source SORTING Order by using a simple Drag & Drop from Source Column to relevant entry field - add a leading - if you need a descending order on the added column (default is ascending and you do not need to add a leading +)
(this allows you for example to sort the source table in any special way you may require during Updates - ie : sort on Date descending records so as to get second dates duplicates not inseted etc ...)

Step 5: Transfer Data
When you are satisfied all is defined as you need, launch the Data Transfer process (Button #5) - you will be able to repeat this as many times as you wish "playing" with Ranges and mapping options
