DMC Software Maintenance Plan


The DMC Software Maintenance Plan is a cost effective and comprehensive program that allows subscribers to receive priority email support, live chat support services, remote desktop support, software upgrades and bug fix releases at no additional cost during the protection period.

Subscribing to the DMC Software Maintenance Plan allows your organization to keep up with the latest developments in our software and to take advantage of the latest and improved features in DMC.

The cost of DMC Software Maintenance Planis determined by its product price, and is calculated at 25% of license price.


Software Maintenance Plan includes:

image001 All Major/Minor Software Release and bug fix releases that are released during the protection period.

image003 Priority Email Technical Support is provided and DMC’s professionals will respond within 1-2 business days during APAC business hours (Monday - Friday, 9am – 7pm GMT+1).

image005 Live Chat Skype Support throughout the APAC business hours.

image003 Remote Desktop TC connection to your machine (TeamViewer) (limited to 30 minutes) (additional TC time can be purchased) during the APAC business hours.

Protection Period:

The protection period begins on the day you purchase the product license and extends for a period of exactly 12 months.

For each purchase of DMC, customers are given 90 days of complimentary maintenance period as of the purchase date. During the 90 days, customer will be protected under our complimentary software maintenance plan and enjoy priority support service.  It’s also the time for customers to consider if you would like to subscribe to our Software Maintenance Plan.

All subscription to Software Maintenance Plan must be done on the day of the license purchase, or latest within 90 days after your purchase. The start date of your Software Maintenance Plan will be the purchase date of the license.



How to Purchase DMC Software Maintenance?

If you decide to subscribe for the DMC Maintenance Plan during your 90 days complimentary period, please login at DMC Customer Center, click the “Renewal” (25% of license price) link and place the order.

Customers who did not make the decision to subscribe to the DMC Software Maintenance Plan within 90 days of purchasing a NEW license (or who left their SMP expire), will only be able to subscribe for the plan by purchasing an “Upgrade” of their version (please login at DMC Customer Center, click the “Upgrade” (50% of license price) link and place the order). This “Upgrade” comes with a 1 year period of Software Maintenance Plan during which you can subscribe to the DMC Software Maintenance Plan.

An Upgrade License of DMC costs 50% of the product price, while the price of Software Maintenance is as low as 25% of the product price, allowing you to get free major/minor software releases without any additional cost.

Subscription of the Software Maintenance Plan is done at the time you purchase the new license up till 90 days as of your purchase date.

The validity of the Software Maintenance is valid for 12 months as of your license purchase date.

To check the expiry date of your Maintenance Plan, please login in to DMC Customer Center, all relevant details of your subscription will be displayed (you also have the expiry date displayed in DMC status bar).

Renewal of Software Maintenance Plan must be done before its expiry date. To renew your Software Maintenance, please login at DMC Customer Center, click the “Upgrade” and place the order.

DMC Software Maintenance Plan can only be subscribed at the time you purchase the DMC license up till 90 days as of the purchase date. Customer cannot subscribe to the Maintenance Plan at any date later than that.

 

If you have missed the chance to subscribe the Maintenance Plan within the first 3 months of your purchase, please purchase an "expired SMP" upgrade license which comes with a Software Maintenance Plan for 1 year.

No, we are sorry that renewal of Software Maintenance Plan must be done before it expires. To join the Maintenance Plan, please purchase an "expired SMP" upgrade license which comes with a maintenance plan for 1 year.

Yes, all DMC licenses are perpetual, which means that once you buy a license, you owe the license for a lifetime.

 

However, after the Maintenance is expired, you will no longer receive priority email support, live chat support service and software releases.

Yes, you will need to activate the Software Maintenance Plan. After you have subscribed to our Software Maintenance Plan, you will receive an email. Please follow the steps shown to request your new serial to be activated or follow this link.

The start date of your software maintenance subscription is always the date which you bought the software license. We give a 90 days allowance period to customers to consider whether there is a need to buy the software maintenance for their license.

 

Even though if the subscription of software maintenance is made on the last day of the allowance period (i.e the 90th day after your purchase), the start date of your maintenance subscription will still be dated back to your license purchase date, and extends for a period of exactly 12 months.

Software Maintenance Plan is a new "pricing policy" launched in January 2012. Software Maintenance Plan is a subscription service added to your existing license, whereas an upgrade license is one off (allowing you to renew your expired SMP for 1 year).

 

Software Maintenance is bought on a yearly basis and once bought, customer will be protected for all upgrades on any release, as well as enjoying our priority email support and remote desktop support (limited to 30 minutes).

 

Upgrade License is for customers who did not subscribe to our software maintenance plan but want to upgrade their license to the latest release and also enjoy a 1 year SMP. The upgrade license price is 50% of the new license price, whereas for Software Maintenance Plan is only 25% of the license price.

Remote desktop connection support done through a TeamViewer connection to your machine by our technicians along with a skype or phone call is offered to help you with your Data Tasks.

 

You can purchase an additional period of 3 HOURS time in the DMC online Store. You can then use this extened period at your will in one or several "sessions". The help you can receive must be related to DMC directly.
